5 pounds down...15 more to go!

That's right, after an offical week of adjusting my diet, I've lost 5 pounds! I took the phase 1 of South Beach and adjusted it a little bit. For the most part I follow the south beach phase 1 but I'm allowing myself some lee-way. First off, I'm allowed 1 coffee or mocha purchase per week and this week I had one on Saturday. Next, I have a reduced-sugar hot chocolate just about every morning. Having these little indulgences helps me stay focused better. This weekend I did have a little bit of a slip up. I had 3 beers and a cheeseburger. oh..and 1 taco. Yeah, probably shouldn't have done those things but I'm not getting all disappointed with myself and thenfailing miserably. Nope, I pick up right where I left off and stay focused. This week, I'm going to work really hard at making sure I stay within my diet limits. I also will work on some running too. Last week it was so hot that I went swimming nearly every day. This week I'll focus once more on the running and walking. :)
